A Clean Surface Is the Foundation of Everything
Before any exterior paint job, staining project, or surface treatment, the surface has to be clean. Dirt, mildew, algae, and chalking old paint left on a surface will cause new coatings to fail. No matter how good the product is. Proper pressure washing is not optional prep work. It's the foundation that makes everything else last.
Beyond paint prep, pressure washing on its own makes an immediate difference. Alabama's humidity breeds mildew on siding, fences, and driveways faster than most states. A thorough pressure wash restores surfaces to clean, brightens curb appeal, and removes built-up grime from the places you walk past every day without noticing.

Every Surface, Every Reason
What We Cover
Whether you're prepping for a project or just giving things a refresh. Here's what our pressure washing services include.
House Washing
Siding, fascia, soffits, and exterior walls washed to remove mold, mildew, and built-up dirt. Perfect as a standalone refresh or as prep before an exterior paint job.
Driveways & Sidewalks
Concrete and pavers cleaned of oil stains, dirt, mildew, and discoloration. One of the quickest and most dramatic improvements you can make to your home's curb appeal.
Pre-Paint Prep Washing
Every exterior paint project we do starts with a thorough pressure wash. Clean, dry surfaces are essential for paint adhesion. This is built into our exterior painting process.
Commercial Properties
Building exteriors, parking areas, storefronts, and commercial surfaces washed efficiently with the right equipment to handle large-scale jobs without disrupting your operation.
Fences & Decks
Wood and vinyl fences, deck surfaces, and outdoor structures washed to remove green growth, grime, and surface buildup. The first step before staining or sealing an exterior wood surface.
Patios & Hardscapes
Brick, stone, and concrete patios, retaining walls, and hardscape surfaces cleaned to restore their original color and remove slippery algae growth.

Why Complete Home Painting
-
40+ Years of Alabama Experience
We've been maintaining Alabama homes and businesses since 1987. We understand which surfaces need soft washing versus high pressure, how Alabama's mold and mildew behaves, and what clean actually looks like when the job is done right.

Every project is backed by proper licensing and insurance, so you're fully protected from start to finish — whether it's a driveway wash or a full commercial building exterior.

What Your Neighbors Are Saying
What Customers Say
"Complete Home Painting has, by choice, been the only painting contractor I have used for at least the last 15 years. Not one single time have I ever been less than totally and completely pleased with the results. Their work ethic is incredible, their pricing is more than fair — but most importantly, I trust them implicitly."
"I have used Complete Home Painting twice — last summer they painted the exterior of my home, and most recently the interior of my mother's townhouse. They do an excellent job, show up when they say they will, clean up behind themselves, and are trustworthy people I was comfortable leaving alone in my home."
"Jacob and the entire team at Complete Home Painting did an incredible job for us on three different projects. They were on top of each project every step of the way. Communication was all very timely and clear. They were on site when they said they would be and did a great job."
Pressure Washing FAQs
Common Questions
Have a question that isn't here? Give us a call. We're happy to walk you through anything before we get started.
Is pressure washing included with exterior painting?
Yes — a thorough pressure wash is part of our exterior painting process on every job. Clean, dry surfaces are essential for proper paint adhesion, so we always wash before we apply any coating.
Can I get pressure washing done without a paint job?
Absolutely. We offer standalone pressure washing for homes, driveways, sidewalks, fences, decks, patios, and commercial properties. You don't need to be getting anything painted to book a wash.
Will pressure washing damage my siding or wood?
Not when it's done correctly. We use the appropriate pressure settings and nozzles for each surface type — lower pressure for wood, siding, and painted surfaces, higher pressure for concrete and masonry. Damage typically comes from incorrect technique, not from pressure washing itself.
How long does a pressure wash take?
It depends on the scope — a single-car driveway can be done in under an hour, while a full house wash typically takes 2–4 hours. We'll give you a time estimate when we scope the job.
How soon after pressure washing can you paint?
We recommend waiting at least 24–48 hours after pressure washing before applying any exterior coating, to ensure the surface is fully dry. On our painting projects, we schedule the wash with enough lead time to allow for proper drying before the crew arrives to paint.
Do you offer commercial pressure washing?
Yes — we wash commercial building exteriors, storefronts, parking areas, and other commercial surfaces. We'll scope commercial jobs individually and schedule around your operation as needed.
Which areas of Alabama do you serve?
We serve homeowners and businesses across Hoover, Birmingham, Pelham, Homewood, Vestavia Hills, Alabaster, Huntsville, Pell City, Gardendale, Irondale, Tuscaloosa, Mountain Brook, and surrounding areas.
